HAL exam test paper pattern,HYD nov,2008

I could not clear the test ,attempted in november 2008 in Hyderabad.
my stream is computer science.i think cut off is very high .
It will advantage if u r mechanical,electrical or electronics.

paper consists of 160 bits
20- simple english verbal & some G.K bits
20-simple maths like number series etc.

120 bits are from ur academics .you should be very strong with your subject. of course with the basics more.
bits will be more of usage like where will we use this ,what is its use .
how can it compared.

main thing is bits will not come from subjects covered in previous exam.

he considered 4 subjects this time
Theory of computations(toc)- about regular & other grammars,turing machine ,push down automata.
c language& data structures- precedences, sorting complexities.
Logic design & Integrated circiuts(Ldic)-Integrated circuit families
Advanced computer architecture(aca)-logic gates,flip-flops

more bits are from toc & c-ds

2.a is father of b,and bis mother of c then a is........ of c?
3.odd number out from a series?
4.some sentence complete bits.......
5.simple maths

1.precendence of operator in c ?
2.complexity of a sorting algorithm,worst cases......
3.first integrated logic family?

4.about logic gates truth tales.......
5.voltages of flip flop .......
6.about regular grammar,context free grammar..........
7.turing machine ,push down automata
8.whether grammar is regular can it be recognised by finite automata........
9.on context free grammar...........

12.how many bits...................



bits r like some what tricky ,theoretical ,lengthy .............
you should read as if u r reading for ur final exams ,each subject----- no choice to leave any of them because he can from any subjects............

mainly the questions are from known basics but that are not easily made........

he may ask things which we miss out to read..............
read at voltages they run
read each & every corner point ..............
